Bio
Kareem “montae” clark
Montae was born May 26, 1977 in the small city of Evansville,
Indiana. The
youngest son of two singers, he knew it was predestined for him to be a
vocalist. He was a late
bloomer though because he didn’t start pursuing it until the age of 15.
He started his singing
career with R B music. During that time he sang with different groups and
accomplished many things such as; winning the Guy Black talent search, was
runner up in the Indianapolis
Star Quest competition, opening act for Isaac Hayes, opening act for JOE,
showcased for LaFace
Records, and has won countless talent shows. After several years past by
his strong passion
for music suddenly turned into a strong passion to spread the word of GOD.
Ever since that day
he has been blessed to sing background for Donald Lawrence, Lacrecia
Campbell, Nikki Ross,
Rodney Bryant. He won the 2008 Inspirational Icon contest for Radio One’s
1310 The Light in Indianapolis and featured on the new artist segment for
the tv show called The Gospel Of Music with Jeff Majors. He has also been
blessed with the skill to write, produce, and record his
own songs. It is his desire to not only produce his own projects, but to
help anyone else he
can to get their message heard also. Montae believes that in this business
you have to stay humble and remember that it’s not about you at all,
it’s about GOD. His mission is spread the word by any means necessary,
even if it means pushing someone else to the next level first. He thanks
God for the gift of the Holy Spirit and song, and he will continue to allow
himself to
be lead by it and continue to do GOD’s work until the day he leaves this
Earth.
