Bio
Born in Los Angeles California, known as gnthestreets, was destined to
become a star. As a child born and raised in the tough streets of South
Central Los Angeles, gnthestreets is “1 of the West Coast best kept
secrets” of this time. Growing up with a passion for real music,
gnthestreets’s idols such as 2PAC, MAC DRE, and EAZY E, helped carve and
form his musical style and talent; allowing gnthestreets to burst on the
West Coast scene with a new universal style and flavor. At the early age of
12, gnthestreets suffered through the terrible loss of his mother and was
forced to survive on his own. With his mother no longer with him and a
father amongst many out the hood that don’t raise their children,
gnthestreets began down the road in which defines him as a man and the
essence of his name. With no guidance, gnthestreets turned to gangs, drug
dealers, and of coarse, the streets as a means of survival. The street has
made a great impact in the upbringing of gnthestreets. His life long motto
has been, “the streets is my home, the streets raised me! It’s my Ma
and Pa”. At the age of 16, gnthestreets dropped out of high school and
made one of the biggest moves of his life. On his way to Staten New York,
gnthestreets packed up with a load of money and drugs. Not knowing what New
York had to offer, gnthestreets made his way connecting with “OGs” from
Stapleton/Parkhill projects; even then they were able to recognize that
“this West Coast cat is a real one”. There, gnthestreets established a
street certification and East Coast family straight from the streets.
Through the years, gnthestreets made his way back to the West Coast for a
change, starting a job at a T-Moble Call Center for 3 years. Giving up with
being complacent, gnthestreets decided to follow through with his life long
dreams in music. Through out these golden years of struggle and pain,
gnthestreets found a way to release all pain and experience through music.
His music is made for everyone, including those that have experienced
things growing up rough through the projects and street life. Gnthestreets
uses true-life stories to educate those who want to have a better
understanding about poverty lifestyle and coming up from “the hood”.
Although coming from “the hood” into making it out of “the hood”,
gnthestreets has a real edge style to bring to the music industry in
breaking down facts and understanding of street life. His music has a wide
variety of flavor to it, featuring, East, West, and a Southern mix of
rhymes and produced instrumentals. Also, his music ranges from “club
bangers” to “gangster rap”. 80% of gnthestreets music has been
written, produced, and engineered by gnthestreets. Through the years,
