Bio

D.Ross DeAngelo Ross (aka D.Ross), was raised in Richmond, California. On the surface, his story is like most you have heard before… he spent his early years in poverty, having little to no resources; and growing up no stranger to the struggle and hardships of the hood. It was the meager beginning and the challenges of life; however, that molded Ross into the captivating man and magnetic artist we know today. Ross began rapping years ago; he would emit socially inspired rhymes while walking with his younger sister to elementary school. By high school, he was performing and networking with various artists and addressing social issues on shows such as Home Turf with KRS-1 and Dominique (host). D. Ross was naturally attracted to rap music as it was the first form of creative expression that touched his truth. With this art form, he felt like he was a part of something powerful. Earlier rappers like NWA, Public Enemy, and Rakim had a message that spoke directly to the needs and ambitions of a community!
