Amillyon’s Bio
Tavish Lamont Tatum aka Amillyon, aka Millz, was born in Detroit,
Michigan, but has spent most of his life in Atlanta, Ga. At an early age,
he became fascinated with music and wanted to learn how to make his own. So
he quickly began listening to artist that inspired him and studied their
music. Artist like Will Smith, Jay Z, Eminem, DMX, Ludacris, and LL Cool J.
The artist that stood out the most to him was Will Smith because he was
able to compose a song without using profanity and make a hit record!
At age 16, Millz moved to Dallas, Texas to live with his Aunt for a change
of scenery. It was here where his music career started to take off. He
recorded his first song ever entitled “Babygurl” and was blown away by
all of the positive feedback he received. From that moment on, he knew that
music was his destiny and to be successful with it was his mission.
Millz has been on several local mixtapes in Dallas, Texas with a group he
helped create entitled “Da Juvenilez”. Shortly afterwards, the group
was recruited by an independent record label called “Slaughter House Camp
Posse Records”. After a year of working with the indie label, Millz moved
back to Atlanta and continued pursuing his dreams. He soon began performing
at open mics and parties to help promote his music and get his name out
there. Slowly but surely, a buzz started making its way around Gwinnett
County.
Now, Millz is apart of Perception Music Group and is currently working on
his debut album “The Finshed Product” which is due to drop at the end
of February 2010. This album will turn heads and open many doors of
opportunities in the music industry for him. So In conclusion, Stay tune
and keep both eyes out for this very talented artist, because he will
become a big impact in the music industry very soon…
