Cornell Chase Stokes AKA Young Chase, was born October 20th 1989 to father
Cornell Ronnie Stokes and mother Lorraine Stokes at CMC hospital in
Charlotte NC. Being raised within the ghettos of Charlotte’s most
notorious hoods, Chase was introduced to a good mixture of the street life
that the world generates around young people today. At the fragile age of 9
years old Chase was already looking for a way to escape the dreadfull ways
of the streets. He started writing songs and working on music in his spare
time wich eventually became something he loved to do. Eventually Chase got
pulled into the street life and got wraped up in Charlottes street gang
violence and organized crime, robbing, stealing, fighting, shootouts, all
being generated off the anger of losing one of his closests friends at the
age of 12. The streets had the best of him and pulled him away from what he
loved the most "Music". Chase eventually got to the breaking point of
putting his gangster hood ways into music when he moved to Florida with his
mother, brother and sister do to a divorce by his parents. There in Florida
Chase would meet fellow music artists and form a group called HOH. Chase
being part of HOH dropped an independant local album in the summer of 2006
and eventually moved back to Charlotte NC to further his career, now he is
focused on his music more than ever and ready to take over the game as the
next hottest thing out the south.
