James Devonjahe A.K.A. Jovie - Rapper/Producer: What up yall, I'm James A.K.A. Vonjovie. I was born and raised in Chicago IL. I lived in Chicago up until i was in seventh grade and am now a resident of the Chicagoland area. I first became interested in rap at the age of 10 when I saw my first freestyle rap at my cousin's crib. I was so amazed at how they were able to put together such amazing lyricism that I just had to try it myself. It was definitely not as easy as it looked. They embarrassed and humiliated me because I sucked, but I'm thankful for their honesty. From that day on I worked and worked until I became either as adequate or more adequate than the other rappers I ran into along the way. This is what I felt made me the rapper I am today. I feel as though that was the very moment that I decided I wanted to be among or known as one of or the greatest rappers alive.
