The name Red Tearz means blood sweat and tears, basically means hard work,
dedication, the pain of the underdog, to turn nothing to something. Black
people were slaves for over 400 years and struggled and continue to
struggle but they planted a seed. The artist Red Tearz who considers
himself the savior to the youth. The man who will stand up for what he
believes in. The voice of the person who was told they couldn't make it. If
you were ever told you couldn't achieve something and you did, you can
relate to this artist.
Red Tearz was born January 6, 1986 as Ali Bacon. He was born and raised in
Freeport, Long Island. The first son of Rhonda Tyson and Ollie Bacon. He
was born into the 80's, the era of drugs and poverty. Times were hard for
any young black family trying to make it in society. Tearz didnt have alot
growing due to his family struggling but he gained a hungry determined
attitude that would soon separate him from other individuals. His mother
tried her best to keep him away from the streets but he would soon find his
niche in this world.
Red Tearz ran the street at a early age just trying to make a dollar. By
this time he had a brother by the name of Malcolm and a sister by the name
of Miya. With his mother basically tied up with them Tearz was off to
wonder the streets searching for the father figure he never had. He never
had a older brother to look up to or a father to give him knowledge about
being a man. So he soon ran wild making a name for himself in his
neighborhood. "I made alot of stupid decisions growing up, but it made me
who I am today" says Red Tearz. Tearz always had a passion for music and it
came into play in his later years in life.
His grandfather was a local DJ, so visiting his grandparents he would
always hear is grandfather tell him story's about back in the old days when
music meant something. So music was always around Tearz as a child. It was
always played morning to night. "I remember stealing my cousins I AM cd by
Nas, I fell in love with hip hop around that time. I memorized the whole cd
that shit was hot". He wrote his first rhyme to the Notorious Big beat
"victory". Tearz said that rhyme must have been 50 bars long but it was
from the heart. Around this time alot of his friends were joining street
gangs and getting locked up for some of the same crimes he was doing. So he
knew he had to slow down because he didnt want to be in a cell. "Jail wasnt
for me, theres no bitches in there". Tearz laughs.
So by the age of 17 he decided to take this music thing on as a career. Red
Tearz always packed the swagger and New York fast talking hustle mentality
and he was also talented. So with having all those star quality's making
good music was a walk in the park. Although he was often doubted by some of
his family members that music wasn't going to work he still continued to
give his 100%. He soon recorded many mixtapes and over 400 songs and
freestyles. People ask him how can he complete so many records in a short
period of time. He simply says "I just give the people chapters of my life,
I got a million left".
His signature style separates him from the rest of the entertainers. This
rising star makes music to fit all ears in the world from children to the
older crowd. Reminiscing, he never thought that running reckless in the
street would turn into reflecting his life on records. Tearz often
says"Sometimes Im glad I went through pain and hurt, because now I know
what good times feel like". Tearz says he's not mad at anyone who crossed
him in the past or any family member who didnt give him the time or day to
make sure he had a good child hood. "I wish all wrong doers the best, they
made me who I am today". But he does give thanks to all who gave him a
chance and all who to this day help mold him into an even better business
man. Tearz is looked at as the diamond in the rough, the diamond that
shines so bright!! He gives all thanks to GOD and prays that GOD gives him
the ability to soar to greater levels of Life.
