Bio
A new generation of music is being created in Providence, Rhode Island. And
a kid named “Mikey Breeze” is the main ingredient. Combining hard
drums, old school kicks, with a twist of new school, Mikey Breeze has been
easily called one of the most versatile MC’s that the game has seen in a
long time. No one really knows what his style is, all they know is that
it’s a mixture of Hip Hop, Old School Rap, Rock, and Techno. This is what
the public calls “HipBeatRock” and it is fire!!!
Mikey Breeze has a flow like none other. Rapping over beats that no MC
would dare to touch, He can give you something for the club, something to
relax to, something for the ladies, or he can dismantle a rapper lyrically.
His buzz is mainly due to his uncanny ability to make quality music without
the common stereotypes that other rappers use today. Such examples are
drugs and guns. “No pumps up in my trunk you see I dismantle rappers
lyrically” is a quote from one of Mikey’s songs himself. He is making a
statement and is crying out for some real music and talent to emerge in the
industry.
Although Mikey is known by many people around the country little people
know that he is in fact part of two groups entitled the “Retro Boys”
and the “Members Only Crew.” These groups consist of other Mcs and
producers like Mikey himself. Big Pound, Muff Grizz, Ozone, Jp the King,
and Mike Mcfly are a few of the Mcs and producers that Mikey works with.
These people collaborate as well as produce most of Mikey Breezes’ music.
They have a significant role in this Mcs success. Trampling the game at
only a mere 18 years old.
Aside from his musical ability. Mikey Breeze creates his own fashion. He
wears what he wants to wear. His style could be described as a mixture of
Hip hop, Rock, and a little bit of the 80’s and 90’s. He sets trends
for others that adhere to him but only encourages for people to be
themselves and to not let peoples perceptions force them to be someone that
they really are not. From super skinny jeans to old school sneakers, Mikey
Breeze has the rap and the style game on lock.
Mikey Breeze represents the life and sole of Hip Hop. He constantly
stresses that we can not forget where Hip Hop and Rap came from.
“I laugh at these rappers out here nowadays. Everything is drugs and
guns, you would think that the topic gets old. But people are listening and
believing that this is what Hip Hop is, nothing but violence; when actually
its not. it’s a form of self expression and an outlet to a lot of people.
It was cool to just sit on the stoop with your radio back in the days,
chill with your friends and have no problems. Now its like you cant even
sell a record without talking about poppin’ guns or something. Its
ridiculous. The influences today should be Run Dmc, Salt n Pepper, Public
Enemy, people like that. Not 50 cent and G unit. Im making it cool to be
uncool. I take it back to the old days.” - Mikey Breeze
Mikey Breeze says he wont let Hip Hop die as long as he is around, and im
pretty sure if you were to listen to his music, you wouldn’t let it die
either.
