This is music from a Young Black Afrikan in America from three different
hoods (Plainfield, Irvington, and Newark respectively) in North, New Jersey
raised in a single parent house-hold that has overcome odds and obstacles
all his life! L. Mitchell was a name people called him as he "spit" since a
kid at recess in school. The name comes from his government name (Randy L.
Mitchell II) but was chose to represent his stage name to symbolize that
this was always apart of him and he does not need to create another image
or alias to do his music. It is the passion that drives him and not the
money as he has not been force to do Hip-Hop but has chose it because it is
what he feels in his heart. He could easily work a nine to five because
between the years of 2004-2008 he has acquired a Business Bachelor’s
degree in professional Business to Business Sales from a fully accredited
University, one of the only degrees of its kind in the nation! Instead, he
plans to use his degree to start businesses interlinked together all
dedicated to completely controlling the image and content that ‘our’
music puts out toward the world as well as the money that moves it. He
prides himself on being a poet first and believes that is why he is so
lyrical.
