Bio
Born March 6, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland Brandyn Bordeaux came into this
world equipped with a pen in his right hand. Raised in Denver, Colorado
Brandyn's fascination with music began at the age of 6 when he broke his
parents record player in attempt to duplicate the sounds he heard from
watching a DJ on MTV. At age 8 Brandyn received a boom box and his first
rap cd, a christian rap cd. Intrigued by the beats Brandyn listened to his
favorite song "Rap and Read" repeatedly until the words were embedded it
into his subconscious. Collin "4z" Bordeaux, was age 5 and became impressed
that his older brother could recite every word to the song with perfect
enunciation. Just like all little brothers would do he begged Brandyn to
teach him the words so he can know them too. Because of his young age
Brandyn decided to try and teach him in sections. Line by line the two went
over the song and along the way Brandyn chose to divide the song into
separate individual parts so they could recite together. The intro and 2nd
verse would be his part, The 1st verse and outro would belong to his little
brother, and the Chorus and 3rd verse they would rap together. After 5
months of practice the two decided to surprise their parents and perform at
the local gospel talent showcase. From then on Brandyn aka H*WooD has
strived to be the best in the music industry. With well over 200 live
performances, 225 group and solo songs, and experience in almost every
field of the music industry(DJ, Club Promotions, Web Design, Composition,
Producing,Song writing,etc.) H*WooD has separated himself from the pack
with catchy lyrics, mesmerizing flow, and perfect delivery. Also with
extensive knowledge in music business H*WooD can effectively converse with
the largest of label executives. At the same time his age(20), image, and
style of music is marketable to his generation and younger. Often referring
to himself as the "total package" H*Wood places his hand in any and
everything that can succesfully progress his music career. Whether he's a
DJ at a local night club, Blazing the stage by himself with artists like:
E-40, Chamillionaire, Snoop Dogg and Busta Rymes, with his group the Deaux
Boyz, or writing and arranging lyrics for other artists albums. H*WooD not
only gives 100% but does it with such flair on lookers can't help but
admire his star quality. Respected as a lyricist by his competition and
adored by a large fanbase H*WooD doesn't enjoy music for the fame. "I love
music because the 1st time you listen to a completed song, the feeling I
get from that is unexplainable"he states. H*Wood has recently just finished
filming a music video with his group the "Deaux Boyz" for their single "Too
Sexy" which will be released this fall through Streets on fire TV. He
recently moved to California and signed with Mach 1 Music as an
artist/writer which is owned by his long-time mentor, 14x platinum, 4x No.1
Billboard, Multi-Platinum producer, and Grammy Award winner Eddie Galan.
With his impeccable drive, creative mind, and his incredible talent H*WooD
will be a force to reckon with in the music industry for years to come and
we all will see him amongst the stars.
