24Kt GOLD is a solo artist who dresses slightly thug out and refuses to
compromise what she believes in. She sings, raps and writes all her own
material and has been since 98.
Before this at 13 years old 24 began singing in a gospel choir. It gave her
an emotional outlet. When she sang, nothing else mattered. 24 believed that
when performing she was giving a part of herself to everyone and that was
an amazing feeling.
24 says "When I am on stage and everyone’s eyes are on me, I can tell
them anything. I have their full attention, For that moment and they belong
to me."
"As I write my songs I can tell people what I want them to know, who I am
as a person and how their actions make me feel. Through my music, I can
make sense of situations, close chapters of my life and help others as well
as myself look to a better future. My music is the very essence of me."
