New York, NY (August 6, 2009) LL Cool J announced today the launch of his Michael Jackson Tribute Competition on his digital music and entertainment social networking venture, Boomdizzle.com. To recognize the legend, Boomdizzle will call on its community of artists to create tracks and videos in tribute to the King of Pop and give them the opportunity to win a Boomdizzle Swag Package as well as have their work showcased on Boomdizzle's homepage, blogs, and websites. LL Cool J will also debut his personal tribute to the pop icon, a free downloadable track titled "Billie Jean Dream: Written by Michael Jackson," exclusively on Boomdizzle.com to coincide with the launch of the competition.

"After hearing the tragic news of Michael Jackson's death, the lyrics for the 'Billie Jean' remix came to me in a dream," said Boomdizzle founder, LL Cool J. "Michael was one of my childhood idols and has always been a great inspiration to me. He made the whole world Moonwalk together and I know his legendary music will continue to inspire many generations to come."

The Michael Jackson Tribute Competition will give the Boomdizzle community the opportunity to create exciting new audio and video experiences inspired by Michael Jackson's work. Two winners will be chosen. One for best remix or original music or video track inspired by Michael Jackson, and best video for LL Cool J's "Billie Jean Dream: Written by Michael Jackson". Submissions are due by September 6th to Boomdizzle.com, with the finalists and winners selected by a combination of fan voting and the opinions of Boomdizzle's panel of celebrity judges.

Throughout the competition, Boomdizzle will also be posting selected Michael Jackson themed photos to add to the spirit of the tribute competition and will invite others to upload their favorite photos as well.
